About Magnolia Photography

My name is Stevie Cowgill. I am a natural light photographer and have a laid back approach to capturing your family being themselves and interacting, as well as getting a few posed photos. I photograph families, children, maternity, newborn, couples, and pets. I would love to spend some time with you and your family and capture them as they are, right now in these special times and milestones of life.

Location

Sessions are done in a location of your choice and last about 1.5 hours. Locations can be anywhere from the studio (my home) to Oldtown, one of Wichita's beautiful parks, the countryside, the local flea market and even your own home or backyard. 

What to Wear

Be creative.  Skip the perfectly matching outfits and pick coordinated colors & fabrics.  Try bright fabrics or funky accessories with the kids and have them bring their favorite toy.  Newborns look best in their natural skin with some accessories like hats, hair bows & flowers. Less is more with toddlers, such as a pair of jeans and a bowtie for the boys or a knit hat and chunky jewelry for the girls. 

What to Bring

Seniors- Bring 2-3 outfits and any meaningful items (volleyball, guitar, etc). Bring a parent or two. If there is a chair or ottoman you love, bring that. It'll look great in the middle of a street, field, etc.  

Maternity- Bring your spouse and kids and a special item or two of the baby's (a pair of shoes, the sonogram picture, etc).  Don't be afraid to dress up, wear a long, flowy dress or bright jewelry.  

Newborn- Plenty of diapers, wipes, a pacifier, any accessories, colorful blankets, and a unique newborn sized container from your home (basket, wooden bowl, etc).

Children- Make sure to bring snacks for the kiddos that don't stain the mouth, as well as wipes. Bring a helper if available. Don't forget the accessories, special toys, 1 year mini-cake/cupcake or a colorful chair. And always have a bribe in mind, like an ice cream trip after the session.

My Fees

General Session: $100 sitting fee (this includes approx. 1.5 hours of shooting).

Newborn & Senior Sessions: $120 sitting fee (this includes approx. 2-2.5 hours of shooting).  Newborns require special attention and extra time.  Senior sessions include 2 locations and 2-4 outfit changes.

Mini Session: $50 sitting fee (this includes about 30 minutes of shooting).  Mini sessions are perfect for capturing milestones the first year. Or any special moment throughout the year.

I also offer a $150 Mini Session that includes 30 minutes of shooting and 10 edited photos on a CD.

Within a few days a sneak peak of some of your sessions best photos will be available on Facebook, within 1 week your entire session will be available for viewing and purchase in a password protected gallery on this website that you can share with your family and friends.  

Please bring your setting fee with you to the session. Your photo gallery will remain available for 1 week. I will keep the photos archived after this. I can happily re-post your photos for viewing and purchasing later, there is a $25 fee for this.
