The weather last Saturday had the entire Eastern North Carolina wedding industry a little on edge – the uncertainty of rain or no rain made everyone a little stressed! Taren and Blake handled the day (and days leading up to it) like it was no big deal, and it turned out, everyone got a little rained on, but that’s okay because the ceremony on the river was beautiful!

The ceremony and reception was held on a creek in Bath, where Taren grew up. It was such a quiet and serene spot and made for a beautiful ceremony location. When we met with them to go over wedding plans both Taren and Blake swore the sunsets were like no where else and of course, with the rainy, cloudy day we were certain there would be no sunset. It just so happened that as the sun was going down, the clouds cleared just enough to make an amazing sunset with gorgeous colors! It made all of the stress of the rain totally worth it!
