We are so very excited to share Megan and Trevor’s Upstate New York wedding with you today! This is a special wedding for us for several reasons – the first is because Megan and I (Michele) have known each other since we were babies. Our moms went to school together and now live a quick boat ride down the lake from each other! Second, the location, I mean come on. Look how pretty. It is such an honor that we could photograph Megan and Trevor’s wedding.
Megan has always been reserved and calm natured and having only met Trevor briefly a few times prior to the wedding I assumed that he had a similar personality. Oh boy was I wrong. Trevor, his siblings and his parents are constantly joking around and dancing, and dancing, and dancing some more. It was all I could do to get a “normal” bridal party photo out of them. It actually makes perfect sense for Megan and Trevor to be together, they really are a great fit for each other.
I feel like I’ve been telling the same story for the last month about weather. The weather forecast wasn’t looking good at all for the day of the wedding with an 80% chance of rain, but it ended up being the perfect day, with a little extra wind, but no rain at all. Megan and Trevor had their ceremony outdoors, in the courtyard of the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel and their reception/dance party in the ballroom. The part of the day I have been waiting for for many months was taking Megan and Trevor out on the docks with the sailboats and on the Seneca Lake Pier for photos. The light was absolutely magical and it could not have been any prettier!
