7 Reasons to Include Your Dog in Your Sessions

Happy National Dog Day!

It’s no secret that we love pups of all kinds and sizes. Often we are asked by our brides and grooms if they can bring their furry friend along for their engagement or bridal session. Truth is, we are completely flattered by this and are just as excited to meet him or her as we were to meet the couple for the first time! So in case you are second guessing your decision of to include them or not, here are 7 reasons why we feel it is important to bring your dog along!

Reason 1: They are one of the most important people in your life.

Yes, you read that correctly people. They have been there with you through the good, bad and ugly all while never passing judgement (no matter what) and always listening. A dog, just like your fiance’ is a companion. They will never leave your side.

Reason 2: Think of it as your first “official” family picture.

Your engagement pictures are only the start of the most exciting journey of your life. On your wedding day, you will be celebrating with family and friends, but most likely you will not let your pup stay around for drinks at the reception. If your are like most people, your dog is considered to be part of the family, so why not include them in your first set of images as a engaged couple?

Reason 3:

They make a great bridal accessory!

If your dog has been with you since before you met your fiance’, you might consider bringing them along for a few pictures at your bridal session. Having the photos of just the two of you is something you will cherish forever, we promise!

Reason 5:

It may be your engagement, but it will be their time to shine!

We promise we won’t let them have all of the attention, but you will not have a shortage of photos with them either.

Reason 6:

They are part of who you are as a couple. They are your child.

Your dog is someone you both spend a lot of time with. Whether it be trips to the park, boat rides or just laying on the couch together they are with you every single day rain or shine. You have some good days, some bad, but in the end they are your top priority and you love them no matter what.
