We can hardly believe we are sharing our 4th Magnolia Wedding Workshop styled shoot on the blog tonight. It seems like yesterday we where at Litchfield Plantation anxiously awaiting to host photographers at our first wedding workshop nearly three years ago. To say we are humbled to have this opportunity for a fourth time around is a complete understatement.
This year’s workshop was extra exciting as one day took place at the beautiful Governor Thomas Bennett House in Charleston, SC. Brides to be – if you are looking for the perfect Charleston setting for your wedding, look no further and contact Linda today! We first fell in love with this property two years ago when we shot Maggie & Kevin’s amazing wedding day there and it truly is stunning. For this year’s styled shoot we decided in incorporate rich velvet linens in both fern green and sea foam blue along with whimsical florals provided by WildFlowers Inc. In case you can’t already tell from the image above Beth completely knocked it out of the park with the flowers. You must see all of the images below of them, they are magical and provided the most perfect elegant touch! We also incorporated leather as an added texture. Never in a million years did we think our vision of leather invitations, place cards and napkin rings would come to life, but Laura and Joe at Charlotte and Lily worked countless hours to not only make sure we had the perfect leather bonded paper, but letter pressed each one by hand. As if that wasn’t enough they also made one full set for each attendee to take home with them. How lucky are we to have talented friends like these?!
Speaking of talented friends, we made a few new friends while planning this shoot and they happen to be the GORGEOUS models above – Venita & Alex. These two have a chemistry like no other and we are thankful that instagram could bring us together. They fit our vision of this shoot perfectly! I mean look at how beautiful Venita is in that Hayley Paige gown and Alex with his Brackish bowtie! It could not scream Charleston more! Keeping with the Charleston theme, Allison with Vanilla Bean Bake Shoppe created our unique wedding cake for the shoot hand piping a design of the circular iron work that can be found all around the Bennett House. We loved this little touch so much!
Lastly, this would all not have been possible without our dear friend Corina of Corina Silva Studios who ALWAYS brings our vision to life. We plan for this event for countless hours and upwards of six months out and through all the changes, she nails it every time. To Corina and all of the vendors listed below, there are never enough thank yous to be had. Michele and I are honored to call you our friends and colleagues in this business and are forever grateful for you sharing your talents with us. If you or someone you know is planning a upcoming wedding, please feel free to share their information which can be found at the bottom of this post as they are truly the best!
